Options for RPO Solutions
When a company carries out its own assessment, one of the usual results found is its limited capability to conduct objective recruitment of new staff. Usually the choices are either to create its own HR department for this purpose or to outsource this requirement to an RPO company to get problem free RPO solutions. If the decision is to conduct recruitment internally, then the questions that arise are mostly around the requirement of expense in this regards, required staff and their paraphernalia and other administrative tools and establishing standards for this purpose. If outsourcing is considered as an option, then the issue is again regarding the expense of getting this service and the type of relationship that needs to be established with the RPO Solutions providers.
In most of the cases, outsourcing is chosen as means of recruiting staff with a view to reduce expenses which might incur in carrying out this activity and hiring a RPO solutions provider would likely provide a comparative advantage. In some case the acceptance of the fact that the company does not hold experience or the capability ot conduct this activity. This is in cases when there is a need to create a newer or diversified branch from the existing setup.
The options for required RPO solutions can be of varied level of confidence and interaction between the company and the provider. One level can be of a purely on case to case service entirely based on available openings. Yet another level can be on contract a base which is more potent when there is a regular need for recruitment. Such a relationship with a provider brings in certain discounts and better services on long term bases. Another option is to a pure recruitment process outsourced (RPO) model where a provider acts as the organization’s internal recruitment department for some or all of its jobs.
These options merely depend upon the company’s requirement of staff hiring and which of the service seems more cost effective for the company in the longer run. The other factor that determines the continuation of a system depends up on the quality of the service being provided, that is, speed and quality of results in terms of the new intake being productive for the organization and good performers. The performance level of the service and can it be further improved by changing it.
By setting these bench marks for achievement and response and having the service reevaluated on continuous basis, an organization can get better results from its RPO solution providers in the long run.
