Prerequisites for a Professional RPO Firm
RPO is a very vital organization which helps companies carry out hiring quickly and suitably. But unfortunately more and more companies are emerging in the name of Professional RPOs. The old ones claiming to be Professional RPO were basically the old HR staffing companies which do not really understand the task of an RPO in reality and continue their previous work with a new name.
For a RPO company finding the right people is a major factor for success in business. Recruiting the top talent for a job takes time and you have to attract quality candidates who have the knowledge and skills needed to help your client company grow.
There are few prerequisites that a professional RPO provider must meet in order to prove itself a worthy company ready to take on the hiring responsibilities on behalf of a client. A professional RPO will always have a large database to meet any client’s impromptu demand at the nick of the time. This has to be developed and updated at regularly. For this a professional RPO will always have several options open and active, like affiliate partners, websites and an active testing board which periodically carries out screening of candidates and maintaining records.
The most important aspect that a professional RPO must meet is its own staff. This has to be the most perfect as they are to be depended upon by the clients to carry out screening, testing and interviewing and in some case will have final authority over on boarding as well.
This professional RPO staff will be required to carry out the actual screening , testing and interviewing which will include the following with a view to evaluate a candidate during the screening and interview for final on boarding or presenting to the client:
- Carry out Psychometric Assessment to identify how the candidate will fit into the client’s company culture, and we will be able to deliver the best.
- Conduct a test, based on short multiple choice technical questionnaire
- A competency based interview to assess the candidate’s level of competence in his required field.
- An ability test this assesses the candidate’s capacity to learn new information and apply it whilst under time pressure.
These few prerequisites may seem simple but in the true professional sense mean a lot more as competence of the provider will have maximum effect on the client company and upon the future of the RPo firmas well.
